A 4th of July Weekend

It's not very often here in the NW that we get perfect weather for the 4th of July. So when we do we try to live it up. That's what we did this past weekend - enjoyed the sun and warmth to the limit!

We spent Friday in the backyard - sliding, swimming, wagon rides, and some sisterly sweetness:

(Anyone notice Marin didn't move much? She eventually tested out bare feet on grass, but it took a while...)

We took in the Edmonds parade on Saturday, Marin and Silje thankfully satisfied with their view from the backpacks.
Today we spent the day on a hike organized by our church. Despite the hour and half drive to get there, it was a great hike for a 4-year-old on foot and two babies in backpacks. Another beautiful day to enjoy! Unfortunately we killed the camera batteries too soon and don't have any pictures of it to share right now. A friend took a picture for us, so I may be able to post one later. We hiked to the ice caves up past Granite Falls and saw way more snow than we had expected. I guess all that snowfall last winter is still leaving it's mark!
