Oooooh, Blog Post #2! - Pictures from the past week

My intent with this blog is to make it easier to update family and friends on what we're doing and how the kids are growing - soooo, lots of pictures! (Feel free to subscribe to this blog - at the bottom of this page.) The most current pictures I have are of the babies eating - something that would make anyone trigger happy with a camera. Silje so far loves her food. She literally sucks it off the spoon. Marin I'm still trying to figure out - does she just not like the rice and peas? She seems to be able to keep it in her mouth at times, but mostly it all just comes right back out with the push of her tongue. Quite the mess. Thus all the laundry lately, as if I weren't already doing a ton of it.

This is Marin only mid-way through a feeding yesterday.

And here's one of my favorites of Ailey when
she was first starting to eat solids - carrots.
It's amazing how fast they go to rub an itch!

The babies (also known as Marin and Silje) love LOVE LOVE the jumper. Marin caught on first. She is absolutely giddy while in the jumper. She can be hungry, tired, teething and she will still jump and smile and laugh while in there.

Silje finally figured out the jumper in the past week. She liked being in there before - she'd just sit and swing in it. Now that she's got it she totally digs it.

Silje also loves to look at herself in the mirror. In fairness to her, she doesn't really know it's Silje she's looking at. She just knows there's a really interesting, pretty face looking back at her sometimes. She's not always happy about it either. Usually after a few minutes she starts fussing then yelling at herself. Hmmm ... where will this lead her to in life?

We also have a couple of finger-suckers on our hands. Marin started it. Silje does it too - backwards.

We had some visitors in the past week or so. Grandma Sue and Grandma Linda came to play. Ailey got to go to the Children's Museum and to McDonald's for lunch today with Gma Sue.

My college friend from Montana, Robin, and her two kids came for the day. Ailey had fun playing with Tyler and Kaylee, and Marin and Silje were little charmers. Here is Tyler, Kaylee, Ailey and Silje.

And a last parting shot - Ailey has taken to climbing into Silje's crib from the rocking chair when she thinks I'm not looking. I keep telling her that all three of them is a little too much weight for the crib. The last time it happened I decided to pull out the camera and get a cute picture of the three girls together in the crib. That is sure to make her listen to me next time!
