We went to Amy's graduation party a couple weeks ago. It was such a nice day that we spent a bit of time outside before ever going in the house. A new toy to play with...
And Gail brought a puppy to play with.
We played around at Grandpa Mark's and Grandma Linda's house on Father's Day.
Gail brought "Artie" again and Ailey enjoyed bonding and playing with him.

We made a reader of Ailey from the time she was really little. I could leave books in her crib and she would "read" herself to sleep before she was even a year old. It still holds true today - she loves to read. I've been a little "worried" about Marin and Silje though. They haven't taken to books like Ailey did. Or rather they've taken to them in other ways. For example, Silje eats them. Literally. She chews on the board books ... and the cardboard disappears. Marin likes to bend them, and stick her arms through the cut-outs.
Recently, however, after dismantling "Ailey's corner" that held all her books, some of the board books were delegated to a couple of baskets that I take out every once in a while. Marin and Silje are now asking for the baskets. I may make readers out of them yet!

And so the grass grows.... We've been "approved" to go out in the backyard to play now. Though Andy says no playdates yet! Of course, with rainy weather finally coming to Washington again, and vacation bible school all this week, we haven't gotten out there yet. But we CAN.
